Take for instance this pool that we renovated for the Landings Helm Club in Fort Myers. It is 250 acres of riverfront splendor and boasts an 18 hole executive golf course, 13 lighted Har-Tru courts, competition-sized swimming pool, 18 stocked lakes to fish, landscaped paths plus a private harbor and marina. The homeowner’s association needed a commercial swimming pool company that they could trust, not a fly-by-night contractor. When the project was completed, the association and it’s residents were quite pleased.
First, we had to drain the pool. We did a de-watering system which means that we took slotted pipe and jetted them down 20 feet into the ground to ensure that the concrete pool didn’t float due to the ground water level underneath it. Then we pulled the pavers, saw cut the concrete deck, hand excavated and core drilled the pool every 12 feet, put in new plumbing, and raised the pool beam to ensure that it complied with code. Finally, we installed all new precast coping, LED lights, railings, travertine tile on the inside and outside of the beam, re-leveled the perimeter gutter, permiter cap tile from the gutter and step areas, and installed a wet edge on the gutter and interior surface of the pool.
